Honey

We currently have two hives located on our hay field.  We acquired our bees in the spring of 2020 from BeeWeaver in Navasota, TX. The bees gather pollen and nectar from wildflowers in the forests that are next to our farm.  They also harvest from the gardens and wild flowers around our house and farm. 

Our first honey harvest was in July of 2022.  We were able to harvest honey from 18 frames and ended up with just under 5 gallons of honey.  The total weight of the bucket was 52 pounds!
